RPA Technology Migration

Digital Workforce Launches RPA Technology Migration for Long-Standing Insurance Client

Press release, 28 April 2025 08:00 AM EEST

Digital Workforce Services Oyj today announced the start of a strategic technology conversion project that will migrate a portfolio of robotic process automations (RPA) for one of its major Nordic insurance clients from one RPA technology to UiPath on the company’s multi-technology Outsmart platform. The initiative is expected to increase performance, maintainability, and scalability across dozens of mission-critical processes and is scheduled for approximately 12 months, beginning this month.
Beyond a platform migration, the project represents a major leap forward in modernization. Many of the current automations have been in place since 2017 and no longer reflect today’s best practices or take advantage of the latest capabilities in automation technology. Through this conversion, Digital Workforce will not only migrate but rebuild the automation foundation, enabling a shift to a more industrialized, future-proof approach to business process automation that leverages modern tools and development standards.

Jussi Vasama, CEO of Digital Workforce, said:
“Large-scale RPA conversions can be complex, but they also create a rare opportunity to review and modernize every automation, improve their quality, and ensure they fully support the client’s evolving business. Our Outsmart platform was designed for exactly this purpose: it lets customers switch technologies, whether driven by M&A activity, changing requirements, or the client’s multi-technology strategy, without adding risk or disruption. Our experienced team of consultants and project leads will help the clients throughout the process.”

The migration will start with a detailed analysis of existing automations and dependencies, followed by a jointly agreed roadmap. Digital Workforce will then re-engineer each process in UiPath using best practice design standards, verify performance, security, and regulatory compliance – including adherence to ISO 27001 and local insurance regulations – and deploy the new automations to production with hypercare support while retiring the legacy automations. All phases will be governed by a role-based framework that keeps every action controlled and auditable.
